IP 101: What is IP and how do we protect it?

Do you know how to identify, protect and exploit the intellectual property arising from your research? This presentation will explain the basics of intellectual property, including what types can be protected and how. Also covered are the considerations for inventors when patenting their inventions and in obtaining the best value from them.

Presented by Gerard La Fontaine, Intellectual Property Manager at Adelaide Enterprise. Gerard is a registered patent and trademark attorney with over 25 years’ experience in managing all aspects of intellectual property for industry, government and individuals.
